Is it filled with chocolate....? J/K
If you were at the center of the Earth in a heat resistant metal pod that could sustain life, what would be the gravity situation....? A) No Gravity B) Gravity would be pulling you in all directions - a sort of negative gravity (perhaps at half the pull as on the surface?) C) Some other answer...?

Gee, ever since my grandmother took me to see the movie 'Journey to the Center of the Earth,' (with James Mason, Arlene Dahl and Pat Boone) at age 6 (1959), I thought about this primeval jungle of giant mushrooms just inside the center. I loved that film, and those mushrooms may have been an early influence on me. Now, I've been offered chocolate covered 'shrooms at a Dead concert a couple of years ago. Is there a connection?!

There could be a connection....! As, the mushrooms in that picture definitely look like the chocolate chip species...!

OK, a heat resistant hollow metal alloy pod that could sustain life, AND was made out of a material thick and strong enough to withstand the pressures of the center of the Earth....
More questions: **** If you emptied a gallon of water within the pod, would it all collect onto the outer walls of the pod, or would it just float around....? If it did actually collect on the outer walls, it would sorta~ be like a gravitational vacuum, without an atmospheric type vacuum....!? Right...?
If the water collected on the outer walls, would it be evenly distributed, or would it be thicker along the projection of the equator....? ---Due to centrifugal force....
Could/would the gravity of the moon and/or the sun actually have an effect on the gravity condition thru the thickness/mass of the Earth....? ---Thus pulling/pooling the water towards either body....(?) -----Assuming it would be moreso~ the moon, otherwise the sun would effect the tides of the Earth's water bodies thru the day/night cycle....

If you emptied a gallon of water within the pod, would it all collect onto the outer walls of the pod, or would it just float around....?
There is no net gravity at the center of the Earth because the pull from all directions would cancel out to zero. If you spilled water there, it would form a levitating blob just like it does when astronauts in orbit do it.
Could/would the gravity of the moon and/or the sun actually have an effect on the gravity condition thru the thickness/mass of the Earth....?
Yes, but it would be negligible.

Thanx~ guys, I appreciate the responses....
Crazy to think the central planet gravity is just like the outerspace gravity, but for different reasons - and at the opposite extremes of the vacuum/pressure & temp scales (somewhat)....
