Heat from the Epsom Salt?

After you bake the epsom salt at 400 degrees for 40 minutes, do you need to wait untill it cools. It seems if you don't wait that the heat from baking would be drying the shrooms by heat, thus hurting potency. Does anyone have expierence with drying shrooms this way?

You'd think that after cooking anything at all for 40 min at 400 degrees you might want to let it cool enough to be able to touch it.. I've never used epsom salt so I'm not sure how long it takes to cool. So I'm going to have to say, yes, leave it until its cool enough to touch.

Don't stick it in your fridge or anything though, trying to cool them down quicker, it will just suck moisture back in.

Thats what I thought, any kind of cooling would bring in the moisture, even just letting it sit out, so I ask again to anyone that have used this tek, do you put the salt into the chamber while still warm with the mushrooms?

Well now that you put it that way.. it makes more sense.. i mean if you put it in the chamber its not going to stay 400 degrees for long. So the heat that it lets off for that little while shouldnt hurt the shrooms. Or just put it in the chamber without mushrooms, let it cool, then toss in mushrooms.. cause it wont take moisture from outside the chamber if its got a semi-air tight seal.

put it in a tupperware, close it and wait for it to cool. THEN go to the store and get some proper dessicant. Epsom salt is shit to deal with.
