quick yage brew question

I made some ayahuasca with mimosa. I boiled it and strained it 3 times. Then I reduced it on low heat. I accidentally forgot about, and now it boiled down to an ooze lke slim, so I added water and it seemed to go back into a liquid. Now I was wondering if it was possible for me to ruin my brew this way. . I got it to about 150ml when I added more water. I've heard of people oiling it down that much and just eating the ozze or scum thats left. Any advice?

alright I'm on the last boil of my ayahuasca preparation, this time I didn't grind it too TOO fine of a powder, there ae still a bunch of longer chunks of bark in here. I'm using mimosa btw. Anyway, I was wonering if what I did is a bad thing. The last boil I'm on isn't as purple as the first two. So I think it looks good. I didn't grind it up too a fine poweder because last time it was a lot harder to strain it, I ended up with a lot of mush in my brew. Anyone ever done it this way? I want to know if I fuked it up or not.

now that the bark has been softened by boiling, try breaking it up a bit finer for another extraction. on filtering start with something pretty porous, like a tshirt that'll get the big stuff. i don't worry too much about the silt, it'll settle out in a day in the fridge.

okay.. one last question.. I froze some brew the other day, and now that it seems separated from that mushy stuff, can I discard that part and drink the liquid that is present?

that's one way, yes. might lose some of the 'magic' though. i'd stir and re-filter then drink as much as i could even down to the dregs. i'd also first neutralize the bitter tannins of the bark by stirring in some gelatin first.
