those little 9W florescent light bulbs
    #5464152 - 03/31/06 01:48 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

I'm using a fridge as a fruiting chamber, where im using as much of the space as possible for the trays.

I was looking around at Home Depot and saw some mini florescent lights. They're about 6" in length. 9W.

I could have one hanging about 5 inches above each tray..

Will this light be too weak? Too close?

and i never thought of the fact they might not be good for "damp" conditions.. damn..

They work great.
They do however generate a little more heat.
(from the tiny internal ballast)

If yo use them in a fridge/freezer.
You want to make sure, you have good FAE.
Otherwise, they tend to heat the FC up, a tad.
