adding nitrogen to substrate

i recently bought a bag of blood meal at home depot, ihad a choice between the blood meal, bone meal, and worm castings. The worm castings was 1% nitrogen, the bone meal was 6% nitrogen while the blood meal was 12 % nitrogen (it says water soluble) . Im assuming the more nitrogen the better, is this correct.
Once i do use the blood meal i will be adding it to a 50/50, H-po/coco core substrate. What ratio is the ratio of the blood meal that i should add to the h-po/coco core.
Another Question> do i add the blood meal to the substrate before or after pasturization?

my understanding is that poo already has a good amount of nitrogen, so you don't want to add anything to it.
too much nitrogen can cause bad results. maybe add a very small amount if anything. do a search and find what the optimal nitrogen % is, it's pretty low.
personally, id just use your poo/coir as is.

What has led you to the conclusion that the chief limiting factor in your setup is access to free N? Is it possible that attention to a different limiting factor would have more direct implications to your overall success?

I have not had any problems with the conditions in my FC, they are all optimal. Nitrogen is used to increase the potency of M, therefor that is why i choose to use nitrogen for better results.
Can anyone with experience using nitrogen as a source for increasing potency answer my original question:is 12 % nitrogen too much and if not what is the ratio i should add to the 50/50 substrate?

You want the N to be in the 2.7 range. Any more, will not help & may cause harm.

Agar,
I read in one of your posts that adding seaweed during the hydration stage of horse poo would increase potency. Maxicrop is a product derived from seweed, would adding a bit of this increase potency?

Kelp meal adds micro/macro/trace elements. If all else is optimal, this just makes it more-so.
