that stuff contains fertilizers for seedlings right? i don't think it would be a bad idea using it in your pf jars but don't use it for casings cuz it might cause some contam problems real easy...

why woul you want to put jiffy mix in your jars? That shit has peat in it.

As far as using Jiffy Mix plus for casings I believe it will be O.K.
Personally I dont like having to run to a special store all over town for every product I buy, and all that my local Wal-Mart has as far as Jiffy Mix goes is the "Plus" breed. I just got done setting up my first 2 Casings using Verm:Peat with no additives. They are just starting to pin(Thank God) So on my next batch I am going to try some of that PLUS Jiffy mix out. Mixing Vermiculite and Peat moss in large quantities is sure a hell of a mess, anything to save time, not to mention have a more stable P.H. level would be a big help.
I don't think the fertilizer is going to cause any problems. I think Iv'e heard people in gere speaking od using it before.
