OK so i went to see my doctor to which i told him i thought i was having panic attacks. and he says that i might have supra ventricular tachycardia(SVT). I was wondering if any of you guys have it or knows someone with it. thanks again.

SVT's are an abnormal heartbeat that can be extremely life threatening if left untreated or unmonitored. It can be life threatening because the extremely rapid heart beat (180 beats per min or faster) for an extended period of time (as short as 10 mins) can cause the sodium potassium pump in the heart to fail resulting in the SVT degrading into Ventricular fibrilation (resulting in Cadiopulmanary comprimise and on down to Asystole (complete Cardiac Standstill, Cardiac arrest, in other words your dead) You should consult a cardiologist to have SVT ruled out otherwise you might be a canidate for external cardioversion (not fun but low risk) or a canidate for a pacemaker or implanted difibrilator. (both are low risk routine proceedures). I am a paramedic and see people in an SVT rhythm on a seldom but constant ( one or two a month) basis.. As a paramedic our first line treatment is a drug called Adenicard.. Basicly that drug stops the heart for a very short time (10-30 seconds) and allows the heart time to reset itself into a normal rhythm. if that doesnt work after 3 rounds of increasing doses. we go onto concious cardioversion (not funfor the patient cause they are awake) in increasing power starting at 50 joules from a defibrillator up to 360 joules untill the heart converts to a more managable rhythm hopefully sinus tachycardia or a normal sinus rhythm. any more questions should be directed to your doctor

thanks i am waiting to get my events monitor so when i do have a "episode" of either panic or an SVT attack i can push the button, i really hope its just a panic disorder. In the mean time, i will just keep trying to keep my heart rate down my using the techniques my doctor told me to do. But will i still be able to do LSD and shrooms? once i get medicine for whatever it is. O can SVT and Panic attacks both be linked with each other?

Shit, I thought you meant single video theory.
Maybe putting this in the Physical and Mental health forum might help?

Hey. The best way to get your heart rate down is to have a healthy heart. Try some cardio workout.
