I have heard some people say that they haven't lacrimated in years.
I thought lacrame was some type of knitting!
Seriously, last time I shed tears was when I unintentionally rubbed some sort of chemical into my eye.
But the last time I really cried was when President Reagan died oddly enough. I don't know- it just seemed like my country hit its high-water mark..it's all downhill from here with the Bush crew (no nobility) and that made me sad like losing a grandparent. No one close to me has ever died so I guess I was prepping myself in a way.
Crying and knitting can be very cleansing.

I cry out of compassion. Just a tear or two every couple months. It's usually after a good spiritual cleansing and a raising of my "level".

I cry on only a few select occasions. Mostly deaths of friends and a few other events. Each time I have cried it has realy cleansed me and renewed a sense of passion. It kind of gets rid of all the garbage clotting up my life and makes me think of what really matters.

I cry when I need to, the last time was when I went to watch King Kong...you could see the love...unconditional love from Kong towards the woman...his struggles, fears, & hence my tears. It was really quite an emotional movie.
Anyway.......
Peace & Love,
Q.
-------------------- Bill Hicks speaks of his experience on shrooms :- I realised our true nature is spirit not body, that we are eternal beings and God?s love is unconditional and there is nothing we can ever do to change that; it is only our illusion that we are separate from God or that we are alone. In fact the reality is that we are one with God & he loves us. Now if that isn?t a hazard to this country? you see my point. How are we gonna keep building nuclear weapons, what?s gonna happen to the arms industry when we know we?re all one? ..You can see why the government?s cracking down on the idea of experiencing unconditional love.

I'm pretty laid back, though I sometimes sob a little bit during certain movies.

I cry very rarely. Not even when I'm depressed. I do get teardrops when I yawn or cycling through cold wind sometimes. I cry like a baby when I'm laughing really hard. Pretty embarrassing

I have shed a tear or two. But a all out cry? On a airplane on my way to marine corps bootcamp, knowing i was fu$#ed, and i wouldn't see my girlfriend (now wife), for a long time. Some hot chinese airline attendant hugged me for a hour. That kinsd of was comforting lol.

I cry at least once a week. A good honest cry...about stupid little things...butI find it helpful, sort of healing, like with the tears, whatever problem is going on seems to help the tension fall down my cheeks.

I also cry once a week or so. It is healthy I dont think I cried from the time i was a little boy till a year or two ago. I rember compound fracturing my wrist in football and not even crying out. Since I stopped trying to act like the alpha male all the time I am at peace alot more. A real man isnt afriad to cry.

Probably not healthy but from 6th grade when my next door neighbor moved until now (senior year in high school), I think i have cried once or twice. Once was when a girl broke up with me while I was on mushrooms...that was awkward... And then when I got caught for drugs and my parents flipped, my eyes watered alot. But its weird, its like I can't cry. I have even pushed and tried to at one point but it doesn't work. I have heard a bit about therapeutic crying, and that Adam from Tool practices this. Is there a certain way to "let go" and allow the tears to flow out? Would probably feel pretty good.

You could drop e in a dark room, lay in fetus position and think of pain. Go back into sad experiences. Cry your heart out.
I cry alot, both from sadness and joy.

wow...I'm very impressed with yall. I'm so tired of every guy pretending to be a hard ass and saying crying is for pussies. you were meant to cry for a reason, why hold it back? I have a good cleansing cry every couple of months..it purges everything I've been holding in. But an all out bawl is another story...that's only happened a coupla times in my life.

I think the times are definitely changing in regard to manliness. Homosexuality is being more widely accepted; heterosexual guys can cry without ridicule. Most people understand IMO.
I have to agree with the poster who said they feel like their heart is going to explode sometimes from crying out of joy. Ricky Fitts in "American Beauty" lays it out pretty well: "Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in."
This happens a decent amount. I rarely cry from sadness. Normally my sadness cries feel like they're just built up sad cries, so it doesn't even realy feel like a sad cry but just a process to feel better and even things out; balance.
My best friend is in Iraq right now. I almost cried earlier today thinking of him. It really made me sad becuase he is so peaceful and he's over there fighting.
Some movies really choke me up, esp if they relate to my life. Movies that depict realy happy and loving people tend to get the tears flowing. Inspirational things, like another poster said. I bought a copy of "Shambhala Sun," which is a buddhist magazine, and I read an article about compassion earlier today and nearly cried reading they're prayer they suggested. Come to think of it many acts of compassion make me cry out of joy.
