Seperating the Young from the Old

Heres my Question
I have a cluster of mushrooms that seem to be attached somewhere at the base. One shroom of the cluster just broke its veil. Other ones in the cluster are not even half it's size but are definately not aborting or at least they don't seem like they will.
Im wondering if I should go in with my knife and detach the mature one or leave it in until the rest mature which may be a few days risking the potency of the matured one.
Anyone have expierence here on what to do with my situation?

This happened to me a few days ago. I used a knife to cut the mature mushroom away from the rest. The not fully grown mushrooms are still growing fine now. If I were you though I would wait to see if anyone else has something to say since I am not that experienced.

That is what I think I'll do unless anyone else has further knowledge on the subject.

Yeah i do it.....you should be fine.

I also inject 10cc of water every other day into the cakes.

Seems to make them keep on keepin on.
