How do YOU exercise

SuP folks

What do you all do for working on a daily basis for exercising? Maybe this will give some people ideas of their own.

I know people have weight lifting routines, which mine is every other day I work each group of muscles with free weights.  I also have been biking about an hour every night just before it gets dark or when I wake up.

That's about it for my exercising besides walking and sometimes running.

I do fun stuff.  I skate 5-6 times a week, usually about 2 hours per session.  I don't have nearly enough discipline to engage in the more traditional forms of aerobic activity, so I consider myself very lucky to have found something I love to do so much :smile:

theoretically I hit the exercise bike for 20mins every day and do random situps/pushups whatever. But in reality I'm a lazy ass and accomplish nothing.

I used to play baseball and rugby to stay active.. but I am out of highschool and in a new city.. so right now since I dont own a bike I try to speed walk at least an hour.. but if I miss out on that in a day I do as many sit ups as my body will possibly allow me before bed

compounded weight routine 35 min 3 times a week

occasional jogging

I walk with my puppy in our woods.  The ticks are starting to come back now that it's warmer though, and I HATE ticks  :mad:  I should start going to the gym more, and stop being a lazy ass  :crazy:

i had the same problem as many of you.  I would not lift.. then start working out hardcore for a week or 2.. then stop.

SOLUTION:  I started a journal (here) and set goals/log my workout for the day.  Ive been at it for about a month.  Its going great!  :smile:

Haha, I was a dork in school, then at 15 and 16 I started working out, and I beefed up a lot, I kinda went hunk style :lol:. I got married, got older, lazy, ect, you know the game. :wink:

I would love to work out again, it's starting that is hard. Once you get going again and you get those weird lifting rushes from working out, then it's easy as, um not pie, but easy.

i work outside in the summer landscaping etc and in the winter i avidly ski. but only 62 days so far this season.

keeps me 10-15lbs over dr. recommended weight.

I ride my bike to and from work every day (and everywhere, really). Not only do you get plenty of exercise, you do you part in offsetting the massive amounts of people that drive EVERYWHERE.

I just stay active, do labor intensive work around the house and outdoors, I hike a lot and jog sometimes too. Then there's the occasional sit ups and push ups. I'm very healthy and pretty strong too.. Hradly any body fat at all :smile:

I walk to the train station and from there to work... Then I have to walk BACK.
I also make a point to always take the stairs and I guess I get a pretty good amount of walking done at lunch. Of course there's also the way I'm constantly bouncing my feet while I'm sitting, I'm sure that burns off something. I should get into lifting though..

in the mornings to warm up i run a 2 miles and do about 100 pushups and 200 sit ups.... then during the day if i have time ill go rock climbing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter...

I race my bikes...

3-5 mountain bike races and 2-3 road races each summer. I've been training all winter on a trainer, the Spring races should be extra fun before everyone else gets into shape.

I used to run and swim too. I did a couple triathlons and marathons, but running is pretty bad for the body. I couldn't run a block now. 100 mile bike race is no problem.

juggle 1 pound balls and your set... juggling four of those beats doing pushups any day, and it helps you juggle too!

Then again some people don't know how to juggle... shame on 'em.

yeah, biking is great excercise.

i commute to work 6 days a week, either biking, bussing, or a combonation of both. i think i prolly average about 150 miles a week once leisure riding is factored in as well. i also ride a ton of bmx on a buddies backyard ramp, along with street and the indoor skatepark too. i do a fair amount of push ups/sit ups, and swim at my grandmas pool with my sister once a week or so.

GOTTA STAY FIT....

Usually i just do heavy weight training and get lots of protein, cardio excercises own me.....smoking weed everyday doesn't help me on that.

I like to use the right hand, to beer bottle, to mouth workout. And my cardio is a combination of standiing up, walking to the fridge, walking back to my chair and sitting down. It's make ya sore the next day!

I do situps, pushups and lift barbells, I just recently started getting into exercising again..also I ride a mountainbike, and hike when the weather is better, but I only hike about 2 or 3 times a month when I do go hiking.

I hear swimming is one of the best ways to exercise the body as a whole.

But I hate fags at the pool and the locker room.

I just feel out of place at the gym but do like looking at bitches there.

Im not buff enough to go to the gym, I just workout at home. I would swim myself, but I am not a very good swimmer at all.
But after being an everyday beer drinker I neeed to do something to get rid of a beer belly, it is almost gone though..I am trying to look better for the summertime. Besides women like guys that look good anyway.

I don't...and I'm turning into a big fat lazy bastard because of it! Before I stopped I was doing 100 push ups, 200 sit-ups, 30 pull ups and 2 miles of jogging everyday though. I really need to start up again, I feel like crap all the time. Meh...apathy, simultaneously my greatest strength and greatest weakness...

i workout heavly, i run 6 times a week, do upper body 3 days a week and lower body 3 times alternation days. tuesday is my off day, i take EGG protein and creatine monohydrate. and i eat turkey burgers for breakfest lunch and dinner. with a rice cake with peanut butter in between.

Oh yeah I love hiking, but I don't do much in the winter outside, Next winter I'll dress warm and take walks in the snow. I love hiking and love fishing (fishing season soon!!) i get lots of exersise when i walk around and fly fish in the rivers, i get very tired when I fly fish all day from the current

Jogging sarudray and sunday

Weights every other day
Circuit training specifically:
15 minutes running at about 70%
5 minutes good stretching/yoga
then all muscle grooups from largest to smallest with less then 30secs intervals
4 leg exercises
2 chest exercises
2 back exercises
1 bicep exercise
1 tricep exercise
1 shoulder exercise
crunches till I have no energy left

Wish I could do some Judo or Brazilian JJ like when I was at Uni, but no schools around here, only some lame Tae Kwon Do and Karate for kiddies.

I didn't have a liscense for the winter so I was biking 15 miles a day to work, school and back. I decided to start swimming again too and was doing 2500 meters a day. It's real rewarding. I don't understand why more people don't exercise. It's a compulsion for me now. Right now I'm canoeing everyday for two months. 15-20 miles

I haven't lifted in a while because of a few things so I've started running 6 miles a day like i used.

I love the runner's high. People at my gym think im strange because ill run high intensity for an hour completely expressionless with my arms positioned in a fighting stance while starting at the wall in front of me. I just get in the zone and block out everything else.

I do 16,000 jumping jacks in the moring, after work and before bed.

I actually just lift some weights 5 days out of the week, doing different parts so I get the optimal amount of rest. I do some light jogging on my days off and occasionally work my abdominals if I'm not too lazy.

I would like to start jogging a little more now that it's getting nice out. My mom runs marathons and shit having been a chronic smoker most of her life. She's very young and genetically gifted. I have shitty genetics compared to hers, but I make gains. The runner's high certainly is great. And I wouldn't mind getting back my old cardiovascular endurance. Used to skate, do track and long distance running.
