This casing layer - STALLING

Hey guys, a casing layer was made in a tub. It was very thin, like 1/7 of an inch or something like that. I would think that a casing layer that thin would colonize within a day, but it is almost day 3 and only two very small dots of myc show. what should be done?
I know it typically takes 3-4 days for a normal depth casing layer to show myc, but this casing layer is VERY thin.
My thoughts is that it is too wet. any ideas?

Whats your temps, RH, type casing mix? Are you incubating or is it in the fruiting chamber? We need to know specifics!

- It is in a monotub that is covered in a black garbage bag and a blanket in a closet so i imagine it is in the high 70s.
-RH, i dont know. it hasn't been opened it but it has polyfil holes and the casing mix(coir/verm) was pretty wet, perhaps at optimal or slightly higher than optimal moisture levels
I read a post by you (hyphae) saying with such a thin substrate layer you can easily put it in fruiting mode right after casing, so should one just do that?

Yes you should. You should also get a thermometer as well as a hygrometer they are invaluable tools in this hobby.
