Help! Cat ate a shroom!

Okay, I am NOT a bad parent.... I had sliced up my shrooms, and was dehydrating them in the food dehydator.. (No heat, of course.)
Dropped one, and in no time flat, Fuzzball batted it around like a toy mouse. It was a VERY small slice.... i tried to get it from her, but she took it under the bed and started chewing on it..
I managed to get it back from her, but she chewed some of it off and i know some of it is in her... this is like 5 minutes ago...
what should i do? will she be okay? should i take her to the vet? this is my baby!
they were ecuadorians.. thanks!!!

I am not an expert by any means, but if you search there a few threads on this.
And it seems that All will be fine.
Of course keep an eye out but I would not panic.

She will be fine. My buddys dog ate about 30 chocolates one night, he laid around whinning most of the night(simply because of the chocolate itself) but otherwise was just fine. Hehe, I remeber when we had to tell the vet what he ate. He was like, "So you put the magic mushrooms in.....chocolate? Great Idea!" Fucking hilarious.

Personally, I think she'll be fine. I've had an experience with a friend whereas his cat got into his bag overnight, and ingested some. The cat acted goofy for a day, but it didn't have any effects on his health.

Damn! uhh, it's hard to tell since we don't know exactly how much she ate. A 10lb cat would low dose at .2 grams which is 2 grams wet, which is probably more than what she ate. She'll probably be fine. That's all just speculation though, I don't know how muchrooms would affect cats. I would assume it's not much different from how they affect us. I'd just keep an eye on her.

Well now later just set out some shrooms. Cats will remember what they liked and what they didn't like.... If the cat eats more shrooms the cat liked it if the cat doesn't well it doesn't like them.
I've never done that to my dog but I know he doesn't like beer or cigarettes but loves the Blueberry NUGZ lol.

Gonna call fabricated story on this one, just because I know how toxic chocolate is to a dog, and veternarians are usually pretty careful about what they do/say. They don't get payed that much (especially when you consider the work and education they have to put in/get) and that just sounds like one of those things they'd avoid commenting on altogether. If it did happen you're lucky the dog was alright...
Your cat might not be fine, but she'll be alive. Depending how much she ate and how the experience goes she might be pretty shaken up (especially consider how finicky cats usually are naturally) although just as long as you don't chase her around the house with a water gun or anything she should be fine

i remember this happening to a guy on here before. your cat will be alright. she'll go psycho for a little bit, but then she'll calm down and get back to being a weird little kitty.
p.s. its name is fuzzball?! where have all the real men gone?

I think dogs need to eat a shitload of chocolate for it to be fatal. My 55 lb. boxer ate a whole pan of (drugless) brownies and she was fine. Was a lot less active than normal but I wouldn't say sick. She was back to her old self the next morning.
As for your Fuzzball, don't worry, he will be ok, just keep an eye on him and don't let him outside.

seing that you put your kitty in her favoite playbox with some catnip(halucinigic to some small animals) she probably wont know the diffrence. just avoid messin with it for a while and im sure its gona be just fine. maybe a little goofy at worst.
