ok nevermind I found it but is it really safe to submerge your whole heater even the dial part in water?

Sumguy, make sure you have one that is 100% submergible. They have 2 different ones.

Actually there are 3 different kinds.

Regular Aquarium heaters....cheap ones...kind that stick on the side of a tank.

Semi Submersible....little more expensive....dial can't be put under water.

Fully submersible.....the whole thing can be under water.

The Fully submersible ones are the most expensive.
These are the ones that you can stick completely under water.

Thought i would post.....since i have had fish for over 20 years.

Don't buy a heater over 100 watts.....it would be over kill.

This one is already owned it says on the site that it's Fully submersible but on the heater it says
"do not immerse beyond MAX line"

it would be difficult if u got one thats not able to go under the water all the way. Spend the extra 15$ and get a fully safe submersible.

I got a whisper from wal-mart for like 20 dollars. I wouldnt recommend it. It doesnt even have a temp modification dial on it. It is just set to a standard temp thats O.K. for most aquariums.
