 Chewing lowers potency?

Since grinding them into powder increases surface area of the mushroom so more oxidation can take place is it bad to chew them before swallowing? Would you get more intense effects if you just swallowed them? I find its going to be hard to chew on em

ok, there was a post recently saying grinding mushrooms lower potency, the reason for this is because more psilocybe can oxidise...
Teeth grind things, and churn, therefore wont it lower the potency?
Instead if you were to just swallow it and let your stomach digest it pretty much free of oxygen

That *might* be true about the grinding but i havent noticed any noticable loss.
but as far as chewing them, its not going to lose potency from the time you chew it to the time it reaches your stomach. There just isnt enough time for potency loss to occur.

if you grind them up the faster rate of absorbtion into the bloodstream will make up for if not surpass any intensity you may have lost... I've ground mushrooms up many times (though out of pure coinsidence only small doses) and I've never had a problem... Chew'em up good if you can, it'll help you digest them

Ive heard the nauseau is from it being hard to digest, any tips besides marijuana? Im going to try peppermint and chocolate, it worked last time but i was on a small dose

Gingerale or even better chew on some ginger root during the come up. Not the best tasteing thing but it works real well.

Just have a *little* food in your stomach, Im not sayin eat a steak dinner here, but maybe one slice of pizza or a bagel or somthin. That usually kills the nausea for me.

if yo make tea you get less nausea. Personally, i have never had a problem with getting nausea, and i tend to have a weak stomach when it comes to drugs.

little recipe for a tea I usually bring along shrooming...
Boil some ginger in a bit of hot water with some honey, let it cool to room temperature and mix in with a bit of room temperature coke. It's warm, carbonated which will help, and the ginger will help your stomache... I don't have the actual porportions written down or anything, I just generally use my judgement on what I think would taste alright. Just don't use too much water or else the whole thing will taste watered down. I usually leave the ginger in it but that's up to you...
NOTE: I only use diet coke, if you use regular you might want to leave the honey out to avoid making it too sweet or just making it taste weird, try it though, it might not be bad

Go get yourself a bottle of Pepto-Bismal. Take a swig if your stomach starts to act up. That takes care of any nausea problems I have ever had from mushies.

I agree, it may take the nausea away, but shrooms can give you gas like burping. So i imagine tht you would be burping the taste of pepto and shrooms. ehhh. :P
