"Cha!" said the kitty...

Woo... I got a fuckin' job. About fuckin' time. Damn.

Seven months of unemployment FINALLY OVER.

I got a job at "The Flatbread Company" which is this "all-natural, baked in a wood fired earthen oven" pizza place. They use almost 100% organic ingredients... nothing that's been hit with pesticides or hormones. They make their own dough, sauces, salad dressings. They use local foods to support local farms.

And the main "point" of the restaurant is to create an atmosphere that "renews the spirit" of it's customers and employees. It is to be a restaurant that "reconnects us with nature" and is as authentic and real as possible.

They seem like really cool people... and the guy who interviewed me said they don't hire negative-minded individuals.

So yes... I am officially a part of "the hippie pizza place" crew.

It should be a fun place to work... haters can take a walk. :P

They'll be calling me back later this week to let me know when orientation will be happening. At the orientation they'll help me figure out which role I would be best for... but I am leaning strongly towards the "baker" position, which my interviewer described as, "the most creative and meaningful position" they have... basically, it's like an art to learn how to do it right.

So hey... I've got a FUCKING JOB. THANK GOD. I was losing my mind. I can feel it re-assembling itself already...

Awesome! Congratulations!

Thanks man... I am pretty happy. This is a really big deal to me... it seems like such a great place to work. Heck, my interviewer's hair was almost as long as mine...

Yeah, it SUCKS. After a while you just start craving monotonous do-it-again daily tasks... which, of course, is what ends up bugging me when I've had a job for a while.

Thanks for the congratumalations.

Hah... man, they either severely ripped off http://www.homestarrunner.com or they hired the same guy to make their site...

cool man, sounds like a chill place to work at.

the restaurant industry is not for me, but the only tolerable places i worked at were of the same ilk- organic, local foods, etc. usually good people working there, and you get a free meal of really good food each shift you work  that, plus getting stoned in the walk-in coolers makes for a pretty nice job

Hahaha... yeah... I have never worked in the restaurant industry. I fear the mentality that runs them. That's why this place intrigued me.

And yeah, they said they hook up free food... which is fuckin' sweet. And since they're so health-oriented, i can even eat it... despite my myriad of digestive difficulties. :P

And yeah, something tells me I'm gonna end up meeting some stoners there... heh.

I probably won't hit it at work tho... I don't like working stoned. Just makes the day go slower. I'd rather save it til after.

A job?! What good are those?

Glad to hear you got a good one! After my stint of milking unemployment I'm probably going to wind up a telemarketer.

Here's to never having to pee in a cup again!
