Tonight, I saw what I consider to be one of the most gorgeous women ever. She wasnt a bombshell, in fact, quite meek looking, but not ugly. Basically, if your average guy were to see her, he would say "yeah, she is pretty cute".
Then I talked to her, and she became even more engrossing and beautiful over the course of our conversation and her demeanor and attitude were entrancing almost.
Now, Im sure I am somewhat biased to this discovery, but that has never happened with a fat girl.... and Im not a shallow person (atleast, I like to think I am not) but the reaction of the surrounding environment/people towards a female (and male I guess, but that isnt for this discussion) condition and shape their personality and "inner beauty".
Lets take the extreme opposite ends of the spectrum of physical beauty...
1) Amazingly gorgeous, perfectly breasted, straight perfect white toothed, tight assed, oft-jogging, toned muscle girl.
2) obese, mu-mu wearing, triple D giganto naval covering breasts, waffle house waitress grill, flabby sack of fat hanging off the back for an ass, KFC finger-lickin, covered in stretch mark girl.
Now, I hope that everyone can agree that when these two women go about their normal day, the reactions of people vary greatly. These reactions, direct or indirect, condition these women into acting a certain way. Especially after years and years of the same shit, they will start to treat everyone with a similar attitude.
Now, girl 1, will have almost every male bend over backwards to help her, has tons of guys constantly telling her how beautiful she is, and basically gets almost anything she wants, whenever she wants. Eventually, she is conditioned into believing that: men are supposed to bend over backwards to help her, a guy has to constantly tell her how beautiful she is, and guys must give her things when she asks for them, as well as initiate contact and conversation if they ever wish to get to know her.
Girl 2 often hears people making remarks about her, men rarely help her or open doors, only gay guys and her firneds tell her how beautiful she is, and never had a person leap at the opportunity to give her something for free.
Eventually she starts to believe that every guy thinks she is horrid and therefor will make fun of her, she really isnt beautiful in any way, and for the rest of her life it will be her vs the rest of the world in a constant struggle for survival.
Girl 1 becomes very arrogant, cocky, snide, demeaning, pretentious and demanding.
Girl 2 becomes bitter, angry, depressed, cynical, sarcastic and stand-offish.
Frankly, I dont know which is worse. If either of those groups of traits were in a average physically attractive woman, I would never want anything to do with her.
(I know this is getting long, but bear with me)
Now, these two girls have becomed conditioned to having shitty personalities, or outlooks on the world and its functions.
I have found that the average, or moderately physically attractive girl is overall the most beautiful. They are always, always , always the artist, the chill, the un-needy, the relaxed, the humerous, the intelligent, the kindest, and the most intriguing.
The years of reactions of people have shaped their being and personality, but the less that this has been done through counterbalances/ups and downs , the more feminine beauty that is allowed to shine through, because every woman contains the power/ability to be seductive and desired by a man.
So here is to you, the moderatly attractive women! the girl next door! the tomboy! May you never strive for perfection and remain vigilant in an effort to be who you are.

Maybe they are still the same reasons.

You don't have to go that far back... it has only been in the last 30 to 40 years that we have been forced into "political correctness"... bunch of immature adults crying like babies because somebody hurt their feelings... 
Back on topic... my idea of beauty in a woman has always been off a bit from mainstream society...

There are also exceptions.
Most guys will not hit on the most attractive girl in the room for the fear of being rejected. Conditioned to think that if a girl is really hot she is presumably out of their league, most will move on to other options. In fact, a lot of 'really hot' girls I talked to dont get asked out nearly as much as the modestly attractive ones. They just get stared at a lot.
With girls, I feel that people get locked in a conversation from the first word they say, while others cant say a thing to them, or when they do, the girl misenterpets/misunderstands the meaning. It has nothing to do with looks either, more of some metaphysical frequency that the girl and guy either tune into, or don't.

My polite answer: Just a normal looking girl it doesn't matter what she has. Face is probably most important.
what I wanted to say is "what the fuck do I care???!!!!" but yeah. You're right on. Average = beauty = normalicy = a good mix of physical aesthetics but a healthy balance of inner beauty to boot. Anyone who dresses themselves up to be straightly physical/sexual looking does not have the inner confidence already telling them "you're beautiful in the first place, why do you want to whore attention upon yourself by playing to the media prescribed role of "beauty" (ala sluttiness). not saying girls that dress that way are sluts, becasue I'm sure a ton of them aren't, they're just insecure and want to feel pretty. But the goddess that all our young girls are modeling themselves after is a WHORE. You see it everyday, little girls not even hitting puberty dressing like they wnat you to fuck them..... showing off their bodies.... no wonder pedophillia is a problem in this society.
