If you like it cool, if not, thanks for giving it a go.

Well hey, it's not that bad... but it's too repetative, and your rhythm needs work. If the rhythm stayed tighter, I might be inclined to try to come up with a vocal track for it. But it's hard to sing over inconsistent rhythm.
Keep on keepin' on though... you're on your way...

Yeah, I need a metranome or something so I dont speed up. Ive always had the problem when I play solo. As far as repetition, they are demos at the moment so I may add stuff.
Thanks for the feedback though.

Everything Jacques said was right on point. it's not bad, you've got an ear for pretty chords, and some intriguing melody noodling over top. but yeah, you need a metrognome to stay consistent, and as far as song structure (repetition): I know you're in the demo stage, but once it gets to the point where you need to start chopping bars off to fit words or whatever, think about the general scheme and pattern of the song. where do you want to go with it? how do you want to come back? sometimes mimicking another similar artist in song structure can get you off on the right foot.
cheers! keep at it.

If you guys want to experiment with the tunings I use they are as follows:
(From left to right EADGBe)
DADAAe
F#ADF#Ae
Enjoy if you dont already use or know about those. I hardly ever play in standard tuning. When I do I find myself getting bored.

I used to mess with alternate tunings, but find it too much of a hassle to switch around... if I had more acoustics, I would probably leave them in different tunings. As is, I play standard and drop it to D for some songs. While I found standard boring once, the more you work with it, the more you learn to manipulate it to your liking... atleast that's what I've found.

The best way to work on timing--other than a metronome (which is boring for me)--is to play along to some of your favorite stuff; you should also always tap your foot when playing seated. But your pickin' wasn't too bad. GL.

I agree... I don't like metronomes myself... but I've learned to keep my timing pretty tight just through foot-tapping. Slight speed variations have very little effect on the feel of something, as long as it's smooth and consistant. It's not so much keeping EXACTLY the same tempo throughout a song that's necessary, as it is to make sure that there are no abrupt shifts of any kind throughout.

Yeah I have about 4 acoustics. I keep 3 of them in alternate tunings but I leave my classical in standard since its easier to transcribe other classical instrument compositions into standard guitar tuning.
