Im thinking of ordering one of those laminar flow hoods off of your website, where do I buy more filters for it? I have learned from past experience not to trust my home made stuff and I want a flow hood that is built right, but I want to make sure I can get more filters for it..

It's a 24x12 HEPA filter, easily replaceable. We have them(not listed - PM me), but so do many others. Everyone's favorite Fungi store has them......you might even try Ebay.....But if you use a prefilter your HEPA will last for years....

The price is a little high for this product and the picture shown dosnt show a prefilter. But It is great deal. As any one selling a complete one will charge a premium price. What type of prefilter do you guys use? I find that K&n car air filters make good prefilters. How thick is the filter? I asume that it is 24x12x12? odd shape who makes the filter. Most I have seen are square. 12x12x11.5 or 24x24x11.5? What is the brand and model of the filter used? Where do you guys buy the filters some idoits charge like 200-400 for just a filter. Becouse these are idustry and industrys can absorb the cost of over paying.

The pre filter is a columbia, and I never said they came with the hood. They're cheap and locally available. As for the HEPA, it's a scanned 24x12x6 filter. They're very good filters, and last a long time.

It's been fixed, but thanks for pointing that out lol. I am no web designer......and we are working on getting everything accurate(it is now!). It's been a learning experience.....
As for the price, considering it's 95% assembled and all you need to finish the job is a screwdriver I'd say that's pretty decent. It's a quality box, will last a lifetime if taken care of....

Why don't you just build a flow hood.... Squirrel cage blowers are cheap as fuck. HEPA filters cost some money. A plywood box is cheap. I bet I could make the same thing for 130.

Well, I doubt that! If you watch Ebay for a while you can definitely get the materials cheaper...but that's the point, this is pre built. For those that don't want to build one/don't have the time/etc.. we offer this hood. It's competatively priced IMO, and most importantly works very well...

The man is selling a product that he is going to custom build for someone. I think it is fairly priced also. I mean, after all you could build a house a WHOLE HELL OF ALOT CHEAPER if you bought all the materials and built it yourself. I think that point is clearly made :/

Because i dont want a home made one, I have never built one nor do I have the time to figure it out, by buying from somone like this he is assuring me it works, so if it doesnt I can box it up and send it back...

Dident mean to be a dick. I just think alot of the stuff is still overpriced...I mean yeah its half the price of a real flow hood, but a real flow hood is way bigger and actully has a hood to work under. But thats IMO. And mids eye, I figured there would be a tek for a flow hood, if you want I can draw up some CAD drawings detailing how to make one. then you could just print out the plans, tape them to you wood, and cut away.
Peace, again sorry to stir up the water.
