Dunking is Cool, what about Floating?

I've been growing some P. Thialand and just finished my second flush. I dunked overnight in between flushes each time. I put them in a tupperware container in the fridge and filled it with H20. I noticed that the cakes were floating with about 1/4 sticking out of the water. Iw as wondering if anyoe has ever tried just letting the cakes float and suck up H20 as the shrooms grow?

Too much water kills mycelium.
