is there anyway to make your line In jack your line Out jack, it seems the channels should be the same just the signal needs to be rediricted to go out the right port.

You'd have to rewire the tracings on the PC board. Why do you want to do this anyway? Why not just plug into the right jack?

reroute line out hex adress
That won't work. Those lines are hard-wired to ASICs on the PC board. I've never even heard of a sound card with memory-mapped audio ports.

nah, dayumm , theres no other way to get sound out of a laptop, i was thinkin a usb port sound card , i mean 1.5mbit is fast enough for 128k audio. and with an external sound processor itd save me some processing power. i was just gonna put a gig of ram in here cuz i only got 256mb now, but its kinda worthless w/o sound. anyone know of a way to get audio out without using the internal soundcard of a laptop.

I use one of these on my laptop.
It's similar to the one you linked but in addition to a USB sound card, it's also a headphone amp. I use it to drive full-sized headphones with my puny MP3 player.
On my laptop, it plugs into the USB and downloads the driver from its internal firmware, no disks required. Then the driver disables the existing sound card and takes over with it's own high-end DA circuitry. Works and sounds great.
