Moose is looking good so far as well. That called third strike to Iguchi was outside though. Iguchi would normally have taken advantage of that situation with Thome on deck and a full count knowing that he was getting a fastball, but I think he is really bothered by that ankle. He looks extremely uncomfortable at the plate.
4-0 now...damn. We've got the big boys coming up now though.

11-3 now. Fuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkk. I don't know why we still keep putting Politte in. He is the worst pitcher on our staff this year. He just sucks.

This is awesome for the Yanks not just because we have to catch up to the BoSox but also it evens the playing ground a bit for the Wild Card, if we win today we're 4 games out of the WC behind you guys.
I wanna watch some of the ChiSox/Tigers games next week!

I think the Yanks are gonna be ok in their division. They should really be many more games out with the loss of Matsui and Sheffield but they aren't. I'm definately rooting for them over the Red Sox.
Oh, Sox Tigers games next week? I hadn't looked at the schedule yet to see who they played but that will be good to see. The Sox are 5 and 1 against them so far this year. Their starting pitchers always seem to shut us down, but we just hammer their bullpen usually.
Buehrle and Contreras need to start pitching better or we could be in trouble. It's odd to say since Jose just lost his first game of the year, but he has been pitching like shit for the last month and a half. He's gotten lucky and received a shitload of run support.

Yeah, he's awful. Odd, because he was one of the best relievers in baseball last year. I'm not suprised that he gave up a homer. Hell, I can't remember the last time that he pitched and DIDN'T thow a cookie that got hit for a home run.

You guys have a very good chance of winning tomorrow for two reasons, both of them being the starting pitchers. Garcia's so good on the road (though he's been stinking my other fantasy league up a bit this year ) and Wright has never gone more than six innings in a start this year and has been shaky shaky shaky.

Hopefully it's a day game tommorow(I just checked, it is). That's when Freddy is the best. Day games on the road.
Wow, Wright hasn't gone mor ethan 6 once? That's pretty amazing. I don't think that I've watched him pitch before.
The Sox are pretty good about not getting swept too. It doesn't happen to them very often.

Wright had one amazing 15 or 16-win season with the Braves and the Yankees threw a ton of money at him. He's spent a ton of time on the DL in turn. Something happened to him, his fastball isn't overpowering anymore. BUT, in his last start, he did strike out 10 in 6 innings. Not shabby.

Yeah, that's right. I had forgotten about him being in Atlanta. I have seen him pitch before. It's pathetic how a lot of players are only good until they get a bunch of money and then they level off a bit. Not saying that that's the case with him, but it does seem tha tplayers play a lot better in contract years and then level off afterwards. Hell, I'd sell my soul if I could play baseball every day on their minimum salary.

There are so many players who do that. Look at Beltre and the god-awful season he's having for the money the Mariners gave him.

There's actually an article all about this on ESPN's MLB page. Sucks that two Yankees starters are on the list of top 10, Pavano being the other.

God damn Gair. The Yankees are gonna send me off in good fashion by sweeping the White Sox.

I didn't even hear that, that's a good move.
Fuck I hope Blanton can shut down the BoSox today. THe Yankees are looking like they're in line for the win but there's plenty of game to play and I don't get too comfy against a lineup sporting Konerko, Thome and Dye. Not one bit.
But if we win and the BoSox lose...we're .5 games out of the East.
