Ahh, that makes sense.

Yeah, I've got a decent pitching staff too. Oswalt, Matt Morris, and Brett Tomko. Tomko has been killer so far in spring training. For relievers I have Neal Cotts (he had a career year last year) and Bobby Jenks.
On the offensive side, there is Paul Konerko and Adam Dunn hitting home runs for me. Ronnie Belliard at 2nd. He is having a great sprin gtraining as well. I'm pretty happy with my team.
Now if only Clemens would decide to pitch because I've got him too.

Yeah, I like your team (Deadmakers) alot...
I'm not sure about Jenks though. He's young, and who knows if he can handle a whole year at closer. He wasnt at it too long last year, if I remember correctly...

Yeah, you're right about Jenks. I did take a chance with him. He does have a lot of potential though. If he didn't play for my favorite team then I probably wouldn't have picked him.

Yeah, I enjoyed watching him pitch last year too.
Everyone loves a happy fat kid.

Yeah, hopefully he put the fork down for a while in the offseason. I haven't had a look at him yet in Spring training, but he was pretty overweight at the end of last year.

does anyone have the scoring system? How much is a home run? what is a triple worth? I think I should be set in the average dept. 5 of my guys hit .290 or above. I am weak in home runs and I am hoping beltre can give me 30-40. My sleeper is curtis granderson. He is going to be a starter for the tigers this year and should do well in that huge park.

One more week before opening day.
I'd really like to have Mark Buerhle. Whoever has him, is there any kind of deal that we might work out?

I have Buehrle. And I doubt it.
I live just up I-94 from Chicago and watched him pitch alot. IMHO, he's one of the top 5 pitchers in the game, and the ace on my staff. Now, if AislingHeal would hurry up and trade me Josh Beckett.....
As for people having rebound years, I'm hoping Beltran will step up for me. He absolutely MURDERED my Cubs two years ago playing for Houston, but wasnt looking very hot last year. Hopefully it was just an adjustment to New York and picks it up.

Buehrle is definately my favorite pitcher. He just got taken before I had a chance to get him. Oh well, I can live with it. Man, he is a horse though.
I wonder if Josh Beckett can stay healthy.
Baltran murdered everyone when he was with Houston. I was glad that they got him out of the AL central. The Mets ought to be pretty good this year. They certainly are on paper.

Reason: Gonna start a whole new thread for preseason blahbity blah and let this one sink to the nether regions of the Pub.
R.I.P., epic FB thread.
