Sterilizing....

When I steam sterilized my jars and substrate I had an issue.. After about an hour of steaming I thought an extra half-hour would be good.. But after the half hour the water was entirely gone from the pot.. Would the water in my jars begin to evaporate at this point? Wondering if my water ratio has been thrown off.. If it has can I simply use a small needle and syringe to poke through my tape and give it a little bit more hydration?

An hour is plenty enough time. Once the pot runs of water, jars heat up and break, substrate cooks and burns, you might want to just start over again with everything fresh.

I suggest you check your local thrift store for a cheap pressure cooker.

id just add more water and keep cooking. You water content wont be thrown off. But like max said, PC is better to have.
