Getting your center back after a bad trip

So I had a really bad trip on some potent mushrooms about a week ago... in which I think i experienced the ego death, which I was definately not prepared for doing...
The next day I was pretty nervous and paranoid and kept to myself.
Now I'm feeling more back to normal again, but something isn't right..
My spirit still feels like it's in a coma..
My brain feels fine.. I can function normally and all and think straight,
but it's like my soul was scared away and hasn't come back yet...
I don't get the same euphoric feelings I used to while listening to my favorite songs, and by dancing around like a weirdo and singing and looking at the sky.. something isnt right inside.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any tips for strengthening your spirituality after a blow like this?
I've tried meditating and doing things I love doing, like playing guitar and whatnot, but maybe it's just gonna take some more time..
Anything anyone would like to share would be helpful

Well, give yourself time and always remember that whatever happened to you is perfectly normal!
You need some time to cope with the experience... it may take months but you'll feel better and better and you'll learn a lot about yourself and life in the next weeks i bet!
cya, and don't worry too much about it

I can remember most of it..
the beginning was great
i was just coming up from the shrooms and tripping harder than i ever had before
then like a couple hours in i remember feeling like i was becoming pure energy and rhythm
and it was beautiful at first then i felt like i had gone way too far and suddenly it seemed like I wasn't coming back to reality and i flipped.. im sure this has happened to alot of people
i think maybe i was too eager for this too happen.. i wanted know and feel it all in one night
i learned my lesson
and i now look upon this as a positive experience, im healing already
heres a little haiku i wrote:
Not yet ready to throw away the ego,
I thought I was, yesterday.
You really start to miss your brain when it floats... away...
Trip responsibly, kids.
thanks for the help

...You must've really plunged in deeply!
What you discribe in my opinion boils down to: "I had this really taxing trip & now I'm not quite back yet."
When what you've discribed is really the MAIN thing you're feeling, there's really nothing to worry about. Chances are HUGE you'll get those good feelings back anytime soon.
In my opinion you've not experienced FULL ego-death or you'd be riding the dragon of bliss now.
Being a complete geek on the topic of Psychedelics, I'll go into detail for you.
Over 90% of your brain-activities (excluding things from the small brain like pumping your heart etc) are subconscious, and this part of your brain does nearly all psychological work for you. It's language mainly consists of symbolism. There are NO WORDS in your subconscious.
Your aware mind's prime activity is thinking up explanations for just about anything.
When one takes a Psychedelic, the inner workings of your subconscious mind partially are revealed to your Consciousness, and your psychodynamics intensify, this being mainly responsible for the rollercoaster ride we call a Trip.
If a really BIG inner conflict isn't resolved before the 4-hourpoint of a single dose of shrooms, chances are you're in for a prolonged reaction or flashbacks, whose very essence is your brain trying to resolve that conflict, not that you've damaged your brain when you find this one dose lasts like 24 hours.
But let me get back to the topic!
You finding your Spirit's absent can only mean something conflicting's come up and It's busy resolving that.
You might find your Spirit's MORE THERE once it returns to you. You might end up BETTER than before you embarked on the trip, but that's a might.
Reading what you wrote I'm practically certain this is the case:
I've seen it in my Sessions, my Meditations & in working the magics of Wicca.
Please don't worry!
Meditation's a good idea, like guitarplaying. If you're into that you might want to do some Grass to help the process along, but expect it'll intensify things too.
As to spiritually recovering: If you're religious: seek comfort in prayer. Meditation likely will help, as well as simply doing fun things. Take your rest: You need it more now.
Think of your trip as being a great spiritual challange, and that you've proven you were able to go most of the distance.
If the trip overloaded you, you really should consider taking smaller amounts.
There's no shame in taking less than others.
Should one really have to down a bottle of Jack D. in one gulp just to be able to say you like whiskey?
Oh I've had my 1/4th of shrooms... But I've had some really superior trips on 1/16 too. There's alot of macho shit going on here at the Shroomery...
I wish you strenght & perseverence. Just take it easy & things probably'll be better quite soon... Usually things are back to (a new?) normal two weeks after.
Hang in there, GRAV !

If you really lost your soul, visit a shaman (a real one), they can do a soul retrieval.
If it's still there: maybe your ego got so afraid of your soul that it makes you believe your soul is gone to feel safe.
Did i make any sense here?

& if it is actually neurochemical....
maybe some grounding via vitamins & herbs?
niacinamide
multiminerals
B-complex
vit C
SAMe
tyrosine
tryptophan
ginseng
gotu kola
high protein foods (fish, poultry, meat, soy, dairy...)
or pulses (grains, lentils, beans...)
moving meditations like yoga asanas, or tai chi chuan, etc...
hot tub soak or sauna sweats...
massage...
sexual intercourse, or dedicated cuddling...
~~~
if it feels like it's lasting way too long, there is a spritual crisis network that has adsvisors knowledgable about psychedelic effects...
Just use this time to be positive about life.
Make "I am" statements
I am beautiful
I am rich
I am powerful
I am worthy
I am LOVE
everything will be fine. chill out
Don't believe the things that tell that you do not feel like you always had. When listening to music I bet you are thinking about how you don't feel the same as you used to. That is the block right there. You think that such a powerful experience has had some bad effect on you. The power of the human mind is limitless and you can convince yourself of anything that your subconcious wants to. And on another note, just because you are a psychedelic geek doesn't mean you have the right to spout dogma. None of us really know what is going on in a psychedelic trip, hell we still haven't figured out the brain yet. We have good guesses but nothing is for sure. Think about that next time you want to tell people exactly what is going on when you ingest a psychedelic drug. I am not meaning to flame you but this world is full of dogma heads and they cause a lot of trouble to people who listen to them. And there is nothing macho about taking a large dose. If you ask me that is where all the magic is in the mushroom. Low doses are good too but they don't have the power to change your world so directly like a good 5+ dried gram dose.
