PF maximum fruiting formula
    #544082 - 02/07/02 06:30 PM (22 years, 29 days ago)

My cat was just about to make some jars and thought about trying the PF maximum fruiting formula. Anybody have any experience with this? Yields? Thanks!!!!

It works, but it does result in the 1/2 pint jars haveing more compacted substrat usally. Either the top level of vermiculite is a little thiner or the substrat is more compacted, or both. I hear that it works fine.

I like to use 3/16 of a cup of BRF that way it isn't too compact, but you get a little more kick. It also works for millet.

Sorry if I sound dumb here, but what is 3/16's of a cup? Would that be above or below the normal measurement of 1/4 cup? Thanks!!!

I have always used the maximum fruiting formula. i ussually get 1 1/2 half pint jars with it. you dont have to cram it all in there and make it to compact. mix the vermiculite and water first then add the BRF, it works great this way. it does not clump at all and the wet verm is coated with the BRF. it makes a huge difference when you mix in this order, if you dont already:)

learn math

1/4 = 4/16
thus, 3/16 is less

jeezus

stop doing drugs and pass math

I would agree with pleezr on the order to mix,but don't compact it. let everything fall into the jar. As for max fruiting all the extra water does is slow down mycelium growth.
