My look on "teachers on strike"

the teachers at my school are on strike again:( Idiots!! They want 18% more income in a period of three years. No extra activities for the students, and they wont even let parents come in and run the extra stuff. What a bunch of ingnorant people. How greedy of them!!
They want 18% more of our tax paying money, for doing less work. In my expereince, you get more money for more work, and not for less:) not only that, but our school is VERY badly run, and completely unorganized. There incompetent. It takes way to much patients trying to deal with the the secretaries, and nothing can be accomplished orderly, and organized, and they want more money! I think fire them all, hire new ones that live in the real world! (Maybe spend some of that money to fix all the problems with the scholl drug information).
What handful of these teachers cares about the well being of the students? Is that not why they are doing this job? No wonder they are incompetent. they can't even do something they enjoy doing, and help someone. The school systems are getting pretty bad. Anyway, any thoughs or comments??

I agree with some of what you say and my old high school sounds alot like yours but I think school systems are shitty because they won't pay enough money for people who are actually qualified to do the work, teachers need more money, they make jack shit for the responsablity they hold, to many of the people that are teaching now aren't actually teachers, they are just people going to work everyday to get a pay check, or they just go because of their sports team, they need to actually love what they are doing and care for the children and want them to learn, going through the motions won't cut it.

Have some sympathy. Wait till your a worker (if that is your lot in life). You'll see they don't get paid enough.
The reason they don't let parents do the extar curricurlar stuff is because it would reduce their bargainig position. Workers who fill in for strikers are called scabs.
I assume your from BC or Alberta.
Anywhere your from, it's a big lie that there isn't enough money, or, we can't afford a good comprehensive public sector.
