Multiple Prints, Same Species...Same Jar?
    #5436117 - 03/23/06 09:54 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

Ok, let's just say that a guy has a few smaller caps (dime size) that he wants to print. Is it feasable to put them under the same jar while dropping spores, and afterward, is it ok to scrape them into the same jar to fill syringes/make LC. All are the same species, all off the same cake. Will they "cross-contaminate", or is there such a thing with fungus? Anybody got a clue?

I would say yes. From my understanding it is when you have two different strains or sub-strains, that they tend to compete. Off the same exact batch.... I think you are safe.

Yeah, when the cap is small than a nickel I usually do a double print. However one small print is enough to make a dozen syringes.
