Wow, the whole grapefruit thing has gotten blown out of proportion. Next thing you know people will come in like "Hey, how much of my pet dog's piss should I down with the shrooms for a lvl 4ish trip?"

Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run, but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant." Hunter S. Thompson.

If by pickle juice you mean 4% vinegar then that is a valid question.
As seen in the Lemon thread the going theory is that "acidic predigestion" is mostly responsible for the potentiation.
The highest acidity used (5% ascorbic acid, 30ml) in fact had the highest potency according to my experiments.
Cooking vinegar has an interesting pH which might qualify it for the same effect. It's rank odor and taste makes it less suitable than Lemon juice though.
If you want to try it then take 1-2 fluid ounces of white cooking vinegar, soak your powdered shrooms therein for 15 minutes on room temperature, then gulp it down on an empty stomach. Post your results in the Lemon thread.
Still it would be far less yucky to use lemon/lime/blackcurrant juice or 5% ascorbic, but the findings would be interesting.
