Incubator Hummidty

My friend is trying to grow for the first time, but he lives in A.Z.the avarege hummidty in his house is arount 25% and he wants to know if he should hook his cool mist up to his incubator, if he does what hummidty should he keep it at. he is growing tazmanin via PF/Tek.

Hey.
Well I believe the jars themselves keep the humidity at around 95%. However, you probably will want to keep them in some sort of cooler or semi- air-tight container, to keep the temp in the low 80's. I dont think hooking up the humidifier would be good, as it would probably be way overkill :smile:

You don't need humidity in an incubator because your cakes should be in jars??? when you birth your cakes into your terrarium the humidity shoul be 95%+...bassplayer74

I did read the faq, and it said the target RH should be around 70%, so my friend was wondering if he should run the hummitfer for 30 mins a day to keep the hummidty around 70%, because the air is so dry around here, and he thought it might dry out the jars

This exact thing has happened to my friends jars
his chamber is dry ... dry.. like 25% as well (winter time here)
and his rye grain dried up.. well some of it
he threw in a jug of water with a fish tank bubbler, but that hasnt done anything at all
