Going hunting for the first time tommarow. (Texas)

Hey everyone, I'm a new member here and might I say this site is great and really informative and I've already learned alot reading around.

Tommarow me and a couple friends (who have been shrooming before) are going shrooming in a large area with quite a few cows and I'm just wondering if it would even be worth going right now. The place we're going shrooming is about an hour and 15 minutes from Houston, Texas and we've had strange weather recently. We had a heavy rain a couple days ago then it was fairly warm (high 70's) but now for about the past day it's been in the 50's even getting to 38 last night. Would it still be worth it to check it out? Would we possibly find atleast a small amount of shroomies.

I hope I'm not breaking the rules by asking about Weather information.. I'm keeping this open as kind of a diary and I'll post pictures afterwards.

dude im thinking about goingthis weekend..the rains were goooooooood.but its been a little cold.we need a nice warm humid day

I just looked on my local weather and it looks great for next weekend.. It's supposed to rain next week and be in the 80's by next weekend.. It's usually pretty humid around now.

I think I'll go anyways just to check it out, somebody from here talked to me on AIM and pretty much said there would be no shrooms just because of the weather but ohwell.

I have been checking for the past few days because of the rain, but it has also been cold further south. It got into the 30's last night. I have foung nothing every time I have gone out.

That sounds kind of on the cool side, but it's something to do at least.. I'd go just to go even if nothing is found.

yeh give it more time
the season hasnt even really began yet
even if your in texas
yeh the weather might be good
buts thats gonna allow more mycelium growth
i wouldnt expect many fruits yet...

rain+good weather+time = a mycelium network
time+mycelium = mushrooms

The rains are good but its not time for hunting at least in most of TX.
