Sperm, the book...
    #5435329 - 03/23/06 05:43 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

Hello, i've been reading this fascinating book called sperm written by a local author and theres a certain part of the novel where he describes his idea on how he thinks the world started. His idea is that the earth, millions of years ago was basically just an unfertalized egg. He believes that at some point some meteors (space sperm haha) penetrated the atmosphere to create life on earth. I mean meteors have a lot of essential organic material in them such as amino acids and other such elements, proteins and chemicals. Please tell me what you think because I have been fascinated by this idea for about a week now.

Peacefulness, Aidan.

no they don't. that stuff almost certainly came from reactions on earth. maybe if primitive extraterrestrial life forms arrived on earth from meteors, the analogy would fit.... but this would be next to impossible and unessecary to explain life on earth. apply occam's razor.

I think it is not out of scientific discussion yet. At least the basic aminos were discussed to could have come from meteorites, still.
