Like an analog clock, one tick per second. This is the first I've noticed it, can anyone think of why this might be, or is it actually normal??

It's obviously alive. Or you are. What's the difference? Maybe it's a little trick put in there to make you look way too closely at something for no reason.
Or maybe it's a clock.

It could be the cooling fan.
The cooling fan on my video card makes a weed eater noise.I have to give the case a kick or two to get it to stop.

I can't localize it beyond the case. Hopefully it's just a normal process noise that I haven't before noticed.

Have you opened the case? Fans often clog up with dust, if you just ignore the problem it could end up being quite costly!

Hard drives as they get older and heat up too much make clicking sounds or grinding sounds when the pieces inside them grind together...or maybe the fan?
