trip out movie

im going to make a tripout movie. i know some people like to in-and-out watch movies and shit while theyre tripping, but some dont. i dont expect anyone to watch the whole entire thing, just to get some trip direction and inspiration. (you could watch the whole thing on weed for entertainment). its gonna have: -an animated montage of peter max's artwork -excerpts from old disney movies *bambi *fantasia *land before time *ect. -music from Powaqqatsi, Koyaanisqatsi, and... i forgot the other one. it started with an "N" (these are the francis ford coppola movies)
-geometric shapes moving to the rhthym of vibrant music -lots of "wet" colors -funny looking animated people saying weird phrases at inappropriate times -rain drops of color with various images inside of them(real and animated) -wierd (nice) warped violin, harp, bass, ect. music playing to a distorted, melting orchestra playing, but without any people (the instruments play by themselves)
i know this is kind of a long post, but i want you all to know what im going for. i need more stuff to put in it, though. i dont know how long i want it yet, but i know i need more stuff.
does anyone have any suggestions? i need to find some weird little cartoons if anyone can help me (woody woodpecker?). more disney movies too. should i put in "puff, the magic dragon"? i need help!!!!

If you've ever seen Mother Goose's nursery rhymes you should really put some of that in if you can find it. the whole thing is very trippy.

Nice choice of the peter max film Yellow submarine is a definite! Lord of the Rings triology, star wars, the hobbit, Alice in wonderland, peter pan, relaxation videos(complete serenity!) Our man flint!(so trippy!) in with flint, uh a bunch others, cant recall the best though.... good luck and have a great trip!

Haha, i'm sorry to announce, I can not remember.... I remember going to google/pictures and then typing in "pyschedelic fractals", but doing it now it doesn't show up. But, in the mist of my searching, I found something really cool, go here: http://www.3datelier.com/psychedelics.htm
Not sure about the fables, would be awesome though if they did make some movies. Harrison Burgenon by Ray Bradbury is a great short story, and I've seen some of the movie(the dad from american pie's in it) oh and Cheech and Chong movies are great!

I highly recommend Waking Life, PI, The Wall(Can get a good bit scary sometimes), uhh I like to also watch the standard such as Yellow Submarine, but yeah...I recommend Waking Life, it's all about lucid dreaming. Gotta go, but you can maybe find some screenshots of it on google images.

the Animatrix is pretty trippy, lots of visual stuff. cool movie to not pay full attention to, has smaller stories that come up and extreme visual stimulation between them.

Oh well yeah, If I had some Acid, I sure wouldn't be at home watching a movie; but if someone wants some movie resources, I'll be sure to give it to them.

I don't see why people count out modern entertainment as entirely negative. 90% of it *can be* very negative, and it certainly has greater social ramifications than stats could ever show, but I am 100% sure that this doesn't simply equate to : tv = evil.
I've had some utterly profound experiences while tripping and watching movies. I've had some utterly meaningless experiences while tripping in nature too.

It's not a matter of tv = evil. But why in the world would you want to watch something not "made by you" when you get the ocasion. Of course you can see things made by other eople, but I think there's enough time for that while sober, while smoking weed, while drinking, etc. But the purpose of psychedelics is to be more insightfull and connected to you or other people breathing next to you. And to find out where YOU can go and what states you can reach. Not to metion that I myself wouldn't be able to watch a movie or some psychedelic animation, no matter how deep they are. It would become vrey annoying. It's like wanting to create.... I don't know.... artificial nature?

Alright, some people stated above that "Movies arent a thing for tripping and TVs are bad" This isint always true. It all depends on the MOVIE. Personaly, I don't often watch movies while dossed on psi, however.... There are a few movies that seriously spark my interest. Not just movies that show " Trippy-Stuff" But under-lying themes that a normal person, would NEVER be able to understand. Sort of like a random train of thought, but loosely connected to the next scene
For example, In the movie "Synthetic pleasures"...
It shows a virtual "seed" sprouting many opon many of fractal "trees" then it immediatly goes to a man names R. U. Serious siting in a bathtub, talking about hwo the human mind and soul is programmed from when you are born.
The fractal "trees" and his words are loosely connected, things repeating over, and over as nature originaly intended, even in highly complex organisms like us, to trees.
Just my 2 cents here i guess but, Movies with an over-all "story line" are stupid ( and yes, napolean dynamite still sucks :-P ). But movies that have deep meanings and are more like " Documentarys" on the human body and soul... How the hell could you call that bad?
There is absolutly NOTHING wrong with watching those types of "movies" while tripping. Define a MOVIE, anything thats really put on a dvd and or VHS... please be more specific eh? I guess video games are bad too right? Well hell, Why dont we just throw in ALL FORMS OF SELF EXPRESSION while we're at it, you mind as well not even listen to music. Thats the only *true* way to experience any mind altering substance... Just YOU, and YOU alone, no influences.
I've foudn that with myself, certain movies, like synthetic pleasures makes me think rapidly about our race as a whole.. How in japan they have an ocean dome right next to a damned OCEAN. Why? Because we love to make things more complicated then they are... I mean hell, i could have made this post 4 scentences, but decided to rant on.Also, I don't even need to movies randomly linked images anymore. I can just hear it when tripping, and fully visualize everything in my head, and further onwards into that realm of the unknown..
The great thing about these movies is...Its not all "trippy" scnenes and stupid plot lines. It usualy is a serious talk about something thats very dear to us, life, death, humanity, or being and what it means to us. Those "trippy" scenes are only really added so for that short bit of time, you can zone off and reflect on what you've just heard, and absorb it. Of coarse, not all movies are like this now-a-days. Most are just only trippy visuals, thus the downfall of movie respect.
Excuse me if i ranted a bit too harshly, Its only my 2 cents, no offence meant guys. =)

Yes, because God forbid that someone would ever like to do something that you don't agree with.

Alright, we all have opinions, usually we base those opinions out of events dealing with emotions and expereiences, jealously, envy, or dullness for example. Some feel t.v. is "brainwashing our youth", but these people have as much a case as those in the war on drugs. I mean, yes it does depend the movie, but it also depends the person. Some don't understand why others like certain things, some people are gay, some people like self-causing pain. This whole topic was started about which MOVIE to watch while tripping, not about critizing watching movies. I can say that from my personal experiences, I would rather go exploring! But after my peaking, id probably would wanna watch a trippy movie. Eh, opinions, opinions..... oh and trying to attain nirvana in one go on acid, wouldnt happen, much mediation would be needed, unless while on the acid you might think you did, but then again after ahceiving it its supposed to last forever, since you take lots of time to train your self to make it last.

if u achieve nirvana on psychedelics its not supposed to last forever man, thats the point you can achieve it while on psychs but it DOESNT LAST FOREVER. read be here now by ram das, the whole reason he got into meditation and all that type of living was to make his enlightenment permanent, he achieved nirvana, enlightenment, ego loss whatever the hell you wanna call it regularly on acid and got over always loosing it. so sorry to burst your bubble but when acheiving nirvana on a psychedelic it usually doesnt last forever, its a quick blast to the top of the mountain before you eventually fall off in an avalance.
