XP not detecting my digital camera after I reinstalled Windows

I have a Konica Revio C2 usb digital camera. Whenever I used to plug it in, a window would pop up with all the picture files stored on the camera. Now it won't do that. Ever since I reformatted, it says New Hardware Found when I plug it in, so I click that and it tries to find a driver for it but never finds one. So it says Hardware could not be installed or something. It's suppose to be plug-n-play I think. I can't find ANY sort of driver for it online. Can anyone help me?

this is on their webpage about your model

When Windows?2000 Professional, Windows?XP or Windows?Me is being used these Operating Systems have these files as part of there standard package and do not require any assistance.

--- so they have not made a driver for xp.

do your other usb devices work fine? Maybe it is the usb controller that isnt working correctly.

yes it does sound like a usb controller problem. it could be that you need to update your wiudows also. do you have service pack 1 and 2 innstalled?

is your plugnplay service enabled? run>services.msc

It detects the camera and even says on the bottom Revio C2 Digital Camera Found. So I click that to install it, but it never can find a driver for it. USB and plug-n-play are 100% working.

bump - PLEASE HELP I've been wanting to take so many pics to put with my posts and maybe even write up a few Teks with step-by-step pictures. It's killing me not being able to use my camera!!! I'm sure it's a real easy and obvious fix!

Try running (at the run command) an sfc /scannow?

That might help, you need your windows cd
