Some artwork I did under the influence of some mushies...

I first drew these in charcoal on paper. Then took digital pictures of each. Then photoshopped em'. Let me know what you think.
I got lost for about 2 hours just drawing these. Was absolutely amazing. My inspiration came from watching my incense burn (watching the smoke dance and breath) and listening to T00L

Did you do the photoshopping while on mushrooms? That can get a bit tricky at times

I really dig that first image, with those red/oranges and blues. Very nice.

I really like your avatar, is that photoshop or a painting?

While the original has very nice gestural cuves, it also has akward edges on the top and bottom from the photography, which distracts my eyes from the rest of the image.
I enjoy the photoshopped images more. The colors create a very high contrast between curves and the background. They also have a much more three-dimensional feel to them.
The blue image looks like it could be from a powerfull microscope. Very cool.
Good job!

P.S. What effect did you use to make the lines "squiggly"?

Thanks for the comments!
As for the filters I used...most likely a combination of plastic wrap, glass ripple or something like that. I also play a lot with dramatic inverts and saturation and contrast.
