Dude...wtf?! You already got those frogs that wont shut the fuck up all night, why would you want to introduce another foreign speciese? P.Cubes will thrive in Hawaii, it will fuck up the ecosystem...don't do it.

Yeah, Hawaii has a couple of native or naturalised strains. Cubensis can be found pretty much all over thr pacific rim, so there's no worries there. I would advocate tracking down some cubes already growing and using them to populate new sites.

Spores are dropped or float through the air, land on a substrate and then germinate and grow.
Paul Stamets "Psilocybin shrooms of the world" talks about how spores survive the digestive tracks of cows and elephants, and some other African animals. What happens is spores fly into the air and land on hay and grass, the cow eats it, think of a cow as a living inccubator, it shits out poo with spores and mycelium inside of it.

Our islands ecosystems have been fucked over starting with the hawaiians who decimated bird populations to make feathered cloaks. Almost all of the vegetation you see is alien. It's heartwrenching, I know. Introducing P. Cubes seems pretty inconsequential, unlike the coqui frogs who screech at 100 decibels (compare to listening to music through headphones). I don't see any problem with introducing them, as the only species they will be in somewhat of competition with are Copelandia Cyanescens, the only other magic mushroom on my island.
