Apparently they thought it was fun to deform the skulls of people. If nobody else will, i will look into some more info on the technique and reason.

Crazy, I've been looking around now, they keep mentioning aliens & biologically impossible features, obiviously a little one sided. What site is that pic from?

I scanned it from a book i have of an exposition on peru. But the other skulls you posted look freaky for shure. Maybe they tried to imitate "aliens".

They used to make holes in heads also, maybe for medical reasons, maybe for magickal reasons.

They did use a variety of psycho-active plants (San Pedro, Ayahuasca, Datura, Brugmansia, Coka, Anadenanthera, Tobacco), so maybe they were imitating the "aliens" they saw in their trips.

also, obviously, the same culture that produced the Nazca Lines. why would they feel the need to make artistic designs that could only be appreciated from thousands of feet above the ground? i mean, if you were standing inside the giant monkey, and someone said, 'hey this is a giant monkey, here's the lines'... you'd be like, 'uhhhh huh. that's not interesting, i can't see no monkey'. jeeez... add that to the list of unexplained ancient cultures.

You could argue that they made them for the gods to see. And okay, maybe those gods could be possibly maybe aliens. Or the designs where there for the tripping flying shaman. Who knows.
