Why not spawn poop to poop?

Hey all, I've been searching the forums about spawning poo to poo, but I haven't found much on it. CAN I DO IT? I've got 12 cups of colonized horse poo, why can't I spawn that to six new poo casings? It seems like this would make life a little more easy than waiting for more jars to colonize. I've heard of, "stretching the mycellium too far" but will this be the case if I just spawn once? Preciate it! --

As long as the poo is properly pastuerized and hydrated I can't see a problem with that. Poo is used as a bulk substrate spawn with grains so...

It's been done and it works. Agar has posted about it. I think he called it "super spawn".

Stamets covers super-spawning in TMC.

It would work, but the whole point of using grains and seeds are because they give the mycelium hundreds of inoculation points to spread from and consume the substrate, giving you fast colonisation. However, bearing in mind that PF cakes are used in this way, I think you'll be alright.
