This is my 2nd grow and I have a question about the fruiting process. Between this and the last grow I noticed that some cakes simply won't fruit. I'm working with 6 cakes this time under good conditions in the terrarium (73 degrees and 95% humidity) and 3 are being just plain stubborn. All 6 colonized perfectly with no contams. Is this cake failure normal and/or is there something I can do to fix it? Thanks all!

How much light do you give them everyday? Do you give them frequent air exchange?
Those look like some tiny cakes, are those like 1/8th pints? lol...sweet

well I waited till 3 cakes started to pin before birthing them. So they've been in about a week now. I'm probably just being impatient but I want to avoid another waste of 3 good cakes.

actually they're 1/2ths but were in shallow jars. The picture makes them look small. Had pretty good luck with them last time. I'll keep an eye on the light and air exchange. Thanks!

It takes about a week and a half before pins will begin to form...
12 on 12 off of light per a day until you've initated pinning and then half a hour to 45 minutes of light per a day while they mature. It's possible that they got a poor substrain aswell...
Did you dunk and roll after birthing? Also, what strain?
Also, try raising the tempature to about 85-86f and keeping it at 100% PH....that should do the trick. Happy growing.
