ok i made a homemade myco bag for my first monotub grow. i cut holes in an oven bag, taped tyvek over it and it pc'ed just fine (i used wbs). i innoc'd it and it was growing, but after a few days the myc and the seed looked dry. i figured i made teh holes too big so i made a new bag with smaller holes and tried again. same thing, it looks dry. any idea what i can do to keep the wbs moist in the bag? is the bag somehow leaking moisture even though its sealed tightly?

maybe put some wet verm in there. not at full field capasity but close to it. that should hold extra moisture in there. i do this is my grain jars beucase it also means... when you plan it correctly i don't have to drain my wbs for 30 mins.

the first hole was around 2 inches square. this one has like 1 inch square hole. i have the top of the bag folded and taped with electrical tape (it holds up in the pc) all the way across and wrapped around teh sides so its airtight.
i think the verm may do the trick.. i shoulda thought of that lol

Smaller holes def.
Only need like an inch or so...Another thing with bags...That i've notcied is that when you take them Right out of the PC, they suck in lots of air...So if you leave them in the PC to cool, they'll have a nice humid environement.
But mainly, that hole is a bit big.
