I got my new apartment a week ago and ahve been slowly moving in. The landlord was nice enough to allow me the last 3 weeks of March to move in. So I've been taking all my small boxes filled with shit that I can fit in my car. Then my family is coming down with their trucks to help me move so hopefully we can be done in two trips, which would be great. Takes a lot of stress off of me being able to move in gradually, instead of 2-3 days of pure hell.
I'm nervous about the new place cuz it's all hardwood floors, I've never had hardwood floors and I'm deathly afraid of scratching them, seeing as I'd kinda like my deposit back at the end of the lease.
Still waiting for the college to update their computers. The admissions and financial aid offices are not communicating with eachother so financial aid doesn't know that I've been accepted, funny thing is, they're right next door to eachother. It's pure bullshit, but I've done everything I need to do so all I can do is sit and wait. I love how they told me "you must get this paperwork done as early as possible", so I bust my ass for a week, calling multiple people and filling out enough paperwork to last a lifetime, and then they can't even update their computers...
On another note, anybody know how to frame custom size posters for really cheap? Any ideas? I went around to all the local frame shops and craftstores, all wanted over 200 bucks a poster!

otherwise, almost finished with this awfully annoying task at work that has taken the better part of a week. have got some acceptances already for some schools, and getting excited about the notion of going back (although still waiting to hear from my first choice... )
for the most part, i enjoy life - as long as i've got a book to read, a friend to chat with, or a guitar to noodle on

It's cool to hear some positive things for once. My excellent day yesterday:
-got a lead on a good job from an instructor
-was offered an interview for another job
-spoke to TWO old buddies online that I haven't spoken to in a while
-found out my income tax return will be 2500 bones (I was broke as hell)
-finished a huge term paper and handed it in
Not bad.

I busted my butt this weekend installing a PC network and it all came out great. So good in fact, that the company president called and thanked me profusely for doing such an awesome job. He said whatever the invoice amount is, he'll throw in an extra $150 as a bonus! YAY!!
So, last night I celebrated by doing some of these with a friend. A picture is worth a thousand words.

I woke today feeling so refreshed and content.

I got a call from a buddy of mine that is locked up. He is at a work release and has a job welding and seems to be doing great. It was so great to hear from this guy! He has been a true friend and just got caught up in some stupid shit, when he was 19. Now, he has a 20 year sentence, but he has already done 6 years on it, so that means he will be paroled out, in the next couple of years, if he acts right. Anyway, he runs tatoos and I am buying him some "free world" ink, so he can have quality that will stay. I am also giving him a ten strip of this fluff that I have. He is ecstatic about the Lucy. Tripping in lock up takes a special kind of mentality, that's for sure!
