Just over a week in the FC...
    #5421802 - 03/20/06 09:52 AM (17 years, 10 months ago)

At first this casing looked perfect.  Even mycelium throughout the entire surface and the casing layer was glistening wet.  Now it's been a little over a week and it looks like this:

I noticed some knotting, but now it just looks like the knots morphed into fluffy clusters, shown in the picture below.

Any suggestions?  This one is my thickest casing yet and I have some high hopes

Make sure they are getting enough air exchange and the humidity is low enough. There is some overlay, but they should be ok and do their thing as long as they have enough air and don't have too much humidity. The last ones I grew got like that and took almost two weeks to pin. They had way too much humidity, but ended up fruiting.

Like porksoda said, it can take 2 weeks to see pins. Just be patient. Maybe it would help if we knew what type of environment they were in and what the Temp and RH readings were. Also what are you using for a casing layer?

I'm using a coco coir casing layer and I don't have a hygrometer. How can I drop humidity though, it feels like it's well into the 90's. (humiditywise).

Well the air feels really thick when I put my hand in, and water drops are still sitting on the side of the aquarium, so I figure it's gotta be pretty humid.
