Looks Like The NEw Zealand Season IS Oficially Underway. (Not that it ever offically stops) May it be a giant leap evolution of this beautifull country known as aotearoa.
In the last couple of years I think alot has some together and weve all come along way in understanding the wicked unique shrooms this country has to provide.
I personally think we have dozens of indigenous varietys and its just a matter of getting off our asses and get down and in 2 it!
I think That knowing that the maoris and ancestors of the country did not use shrooms full stop. They were rarely used in the country and "not really known about" until our parents had gatherd them Is the knowledge we need to know we are the Aotearoa mushroom generation.
May we all be Countinually blessed and all our findings come Hugely this year, as many being documented and photographed as possible guys.. Show our nieghbours across the tasman wea the real rareitys are at its at!
Can u guys perhaps post some of ye best rare Kiwi pics In this Post.
Shroom Hard Aoteashroomers...

Why do you have to whine about it like an arrogant white kid?
No finds for me yet this year, but it's looking like the first hints of this fungi-tastic time of year are beginning to emerge indeed. I wish many magical experiences come to those who venture beyond the known.

Finally, At one time is was suggested by several persons in a study of possible indigenous use of the sacred mushrooms that the Maori (the indigenous race) may have used psilocybin mushrooms.
This possibility was also mentioned by the late famed ethnomycologist, R.G. Wasson on a visit to NZ, in relation to the theory which holds that concepts of divinity may have arisen in primitive peoples out of psychedelic drug experiences. In fact, there is no evidence of any sort to support the use of these mushrooms by the pre-conquest Maori. The Maori are quite distinctive for having used no consciousness altering drugs of any kind, and were highly skilled at treating food to remove toxic substances. This conclusion was supported by all of NZ's Professors of Maori studies, and many other scholars of the Maori culture, in a series of consultations carried out in l988. It appears that the Maori culture represents at least one instance of a complex and rich theology and mythology, involving priests (tohunga's) and the frequent invocation of deities in daily life, which did not require the use of consciousness-altering chemicals.
