Well I am braking down and I need to get a few field guides...I have way to many questions......
I am seeing mushroom left and right now that I have become more aware of there presence in my environment....there everywhere....
I think they might even be following me....lol
Anyway what are some recommendations, I stopped at a few book stores and they had none, so I assume that I need to order it.
I am looking for mushroom that would be present in the Western states area....central area if you know what i mean...
So what guides are you working with......
Oh yeah I found these while at work, growing under a Eucalyptus Tree...
Any thoughts and this should be the last time.........

These are some of my books, but I took the picture a couple years ago and have traded one away and picked up some new ones since then.. Anyways, I'd go with Arora's guide probably.. and PMOTW if you want more than one. I have a copy of Mushrooms demystified, it is one of my favorites.

I borrowed this book from a friend of mine about 2 years ago and have since lost touch with her. Its a very good read, lots of good info on the history, ID, and effects of psilocybin mushrooms.
I def. recomend it.

HEy Snaggletooth, as someone who has hitch-hiked across the U.S.A. 7 times between 1962 and 1967, I met the author of that hitch-hikers guide int he early to mid 1980s and he had me fill out a survey of my hitch-hiking adventures so i becvame part of the history behind that book.

mjshroomer,
I am very thankful to be able to stand on the shoulders of giants, thank you.
Ok I think I got the 'list' so it's off to place orders...
Now where should I spend my money.....I don't think I want to go through Cooperate America....I would rather spend it were it would count....
The only place that I can thing of is Fungi Perfecti....
Any suggestions.....

Funghi Perfecti is corporate America.
Paul makes thousands of dollars off people every week with his books and with his expensive mushroom cultivation workshops. But where you want to spend money is up to you.

If you don't want an author to benefit from your purchase of literature they have written, go to a used book store. They will receive no additional royalties from your purchase.
If you are looking to help this community you might want to checkout the marketplace and see if anyone has a spare copy for sale.

Just go into Borders and look in the Gardening section. That's where I found mine. Or try Walden Books they have one of the field guides I have.
