I haven't sat down to watch it in a good long while. This is going to be a baptismal experience.

I haven't read the book but I heard that when Dave leaves the ship, HAL opens up all the doors and lets all the air out. HOW DOES HE GET BACK IN?!

If it was playing today, I'd glady drop. Tuesday-Wednesday is my Saturday-Sunday.
I'm really pissed.

It's the single nicest theater in NYC, I thought that you knew that and that was part of why you were so excited.
You know when a new big dorky movie like LotR or Star Wars is released, and people line up to see it? The biggest longest line is always at the Ziegfeld. BEcause it's gorgeous.

my previous excitement was fully based on the fact that 2001 was playing on a screen bigger then my tv.

I haven't hit the Pub in months, so I guess it was meant to be! I'll be there tomorrow. I'm not sure which show: one would require leaving class early, the other cancelling a meeting, but I've been dying to see this in a theater so I'll get there somehow! I haven't actually seen the entire film end-to-end in one sitting yet. Not due to patience, just circumstances. See you there!

If you see the fro, say hey.

But be gentle - I'll be tripping.
