Assuming you can produce a thick healthy LC

Assuming you have access to chunky vermiculite.

And some well weathered h/poo.
(you only need a few lbs)
Soak the h/poo in a pot of water, to break it up. (stir to a fiber consistency)
Drain off some of the h/poo tea & HYDRATE the Verm - with it. HYDRATE the coir - with the h/poo tea.
Add some BRF (sand sized).

Add some h/poo fiber.

Mix should be around 3 parts h/poo, 1 part coir, 3 parts Verm & a tad of BRF. (Tad = a heaped tablespoon per pint, or two per quart)
Moisture content should be slightly less than full saturation point. (meaning, doesn't drip when you pick up a handful, but drips lightly - when you give it a gentle - but firm squeeze).
Then FLUFF UP THE MIXTURE, with a fork (or whatever)
Then, lightly fill a pint or QUART jar 3/4 full. (DO NOT COMPACT MIXTURE) Add a lid with G/E (gas exchange) filter. (Tyvek, or Micropore tape).

Then, steam or PC the jars.
If you steam jars, COVER lids with aluminum foil. (so no splashing bubbling water enters them)
Steam means, elevate jars on a rack, in a large pot, filled with water to just beneath jars. Place lid on pot, set heavy item on lid (to hold in more steam - than normal). Steam twice for 1 hour. Or, once for 2 hours. (you may have to add additional water, as steam escapes the pot)
PC means, pressure cook @ 15 psi 1 hour.
Once steamed or PC'ed & cooled to room temps.
Inoculate pint jars with 3 or 4 ml LC & quart jars with 6 to 8 ml LC.
One squirt down the center, one in each corner. (five squirts total).
Once inoculated & innoc hole is taped over, lay jar on its side & roll it back & forth slowly. (helps to spread LC solution inside the jars)
Then, incubate at high room temps (74 to 78F), or in an incubator up to 84F.
These will colonize almost as fast as wbs/grain jars.
Once colonized, use as spawn to pasteurized h/poo in a tray.
Or, empty several jars into a tray. Cover the tray with cling wrap. Poke 15 or 18 needle holes in the cling wrap, for G/E. Cover tray with CRUMPLED aluminum foil. (holds out light, but still allows G/E).
Once tray content knits back together. Add a casing cover & re-incubate a few more days. Then, expose tray to 12/12 off/on light cycle & FAE. (85 to 90% Rh)

Suggested casing mix is: 50/50 peat/verm, with a small amount of coir added (less than 5%). (Ph adjust the mix to 7.5 & add oyster shell flour - as long term buffer)

Check...
Chunky Vermiculite.........

Check...
Prime Hpoo

Check....
Bags.....

Check.....
Well it looks like I can give this a go.
The only thing that I am laking is the casing layer, I need to move to peat and balance the PH myself.....
Another great write up that's worth more then it's weight in gold.

You make the best write ups. Short half lines, no rambling or extras, good pictures, and defining all terms you use, simply. Good stuff.

agar, how many cases do you have incubating/fruiting at any given moment? it would seem with all of these writeups, tons.

It says right next to "G/E", "(gas exchange)".
It can be tough to find locally, I used to have to order it online, I finally found it at a local hydroponic store though. Look up hydroponics in the yellow pages. Some garden centers have it, but its always the fine stuff around here.
