GUUUUUUUUUYSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMN!1!!!!11. Nature always wins out!! So I had pretty much given up my shrooms for failure, and was gonna throw everything away and start over. The first few cans were rotten, and smelled like alcohol lol, all the bacteria. But then i made a veeeeeryyy pleasant discovery. My largest pint sized can had actually been colonized!1!!!1 god damn that made me happy. see, i had grown them in garden soil lol. no wonder why they all died.....except this one can. now, i put it straight to fruiting, and see how things turn out. i wanted to ask you, can i expect them to be super potent, because the garden soil had a LOT of nutrients in it (at least before i cooked the shit out of it no pun intended lol).
secondly, the strain is B+. i'm giving it an A+ for being a hardass. thanks shroom gods for blessing me.

lemme just make a point that the pink cake was colonized at the top only, but about 1.5 inches below too. it was a little thick to be penetrated, a mistake i won't make twice.

k, this is gonna sound dumb as a brick, but my substate was whole rye flour (100% natural), mixed with garden soil, that's right, garden soil. (and water). i didn't have vermiculite, which i recently just got, another reason i restarted, so i just picked some fluffly soil, which condensed like crazy when it baked. i just inoculated and crossed fingers, not a great way of doing anything i know, and i learnt my lesson. i lost 5 out of 6 of my cans. By can, i mean a plastic container. the one surviving one was my largest can, which i put in like 3 cc in haha. The funny part is, they grew below, and because of the lack of room (too compact) they colonized the garden soil on the top. the thing about the soil is that it is reaaaaaaaaaaaaallllly moist. nearly impossible to dry. so they just grew there. one day i come along, ready to throw it away, and BAM, an afro hits me (smelled like rotting alcohol too though heh, but much less than the others). I am too damn happy. it's fruiting as we speak. it's funny because it had already started to fruit because i saw pins forming in the center of the place. ironic because it put them under my bed, and wrapped in tin foil. no way any light got in.....don't they need light to pin? i'm keeping spores of this lil buddy def. call him hardass.

welll... gl with your little exp. but don't waste your time and money when you can get alot better results if you follow a guide. new potting/garden soil can have stuff in it that will prevent mold and what not from growing, but it goes away after a while. i wouldn't continue your... emm... tek post a picture though, iam curious to see what those fruits look like from that
