Those are just two songs I copied. All of the songs on this particular album are very good (bad? frightening? depressing?). I couldn't choose which ones to paste, so I just grabbed two. (Titles omitted for a mysterious air of course.) we're on a bullet and we're headed straight into god, even he'd like to end it too we take a pill, get a face, buy our ticket and we hope that heaven's true i saw a cop beat a priest on the tv, and they know they killed our heroes too we sing the death song kids, because we've got no future and we want to be just like you, we want to be just like you let's sing the death song kids we light a candle on an earth we made into hell, and pretend that we're in heaven each time we do we get the blind man's ticket and we know that nothing's true i saw priest kill a cop on the tv, and i know now they're our heroes too we sing the death song kids, because we've got no future and we want to be just like you, we want to be just like you we write our prayers on a little bomb, kiss it on the face and send it to god (chorus) we were the world, but we've got no future and we want to be just like you, we want to be just like you ---------------------------- there was christ in the metal shell, there was blood on the pavement the camera will make you god, that's how jack became sainted if you die when there's no one watching, and your ratings drop and you're forgotten if they kill you on their tv, you're a martyr and a lamb of god nothing's going to change, nothing's going to change the world there was lennon and a happy gun, there were words on the pavement we were looking for the lamb of god, we were looking for mark david if you die when there's no one watching, and your ratings drop and you're forgotten if they kill you on their tv, you're a martyr and a lamb of god nothing's going to change the world, nothing's going to change nothing's going to change the world, nothing's going to change the world it took three days for him to die, the born again could buy the serial rights lamb of god have mercy on us, lamb of god won't you grant us nothing's going to change the world, nothing's going to change nothing's going to change the world, nothing's going to change the world if you die when there's no one watching, and your ratings drop and you're forgotten if they kill you on their tv, you're a martyr and a lamb of god nothing's going to change the world What? Who is it? I didn't tell because if I did a lot of people would write it off without looking. Here's one more for the road. and i'm a black rainbow and i'm an ape of god i got a face that's made for doing violence upon i'm a teen distortion, survived abortion a rebel from the waist down i wanna thank you mom, i wanna thank you dad for bringing this fucking world to a bitter end i never really hated a one true god but the god of the people i hated you said you wanted evolution, the ape was a great big hit you say you want a revolution, man, and i say that you're full of shit we're disposable teens, we're disposable teens we're disposable teens, we're disposable you said you wanted evolution, the ape was a great big hit you say you want a revolution, man, and i say that you're full of shit the more that you fear us, the bigger we get the more that you fear us, the bigger we get and don't be surprised, don't be surprised don't be surprised when we destroy all of it

Its gotta be Marilyn Manson. I'm not a big fan of his, but I do find some of his lyrical content very profound.

Ha ha, Marylin Manson it is. I'm not a "big fan" of his either... I only have Holywood and Smells Like Children. I don't try to emulate him in any way (clothes and makeup etc). I do, however, find him and his music fascinating. He is a great artist. Many people think he's the biggest cliche around, but... I don't think so.

i used to be a huge fan of this band, then i stopped being 14.....i still like potraits though, a little...sometimes..actually someone stole it from me years ago, but i still have a couple mp3's, after daisy left the band it was all downhill, manson himself is a moron. shock rock at its finest.

See, I don't know what Portrait is (oh, it's Portrait of an American Family isn't it? I just realised that). I don't know who Daisy is. I'm perhaps in some "teen angst", but his "message" is oddly in tune with my own perception of the rest of "them"... Something about the believers, and the deceivers, and... crap, nevermind, I can't explain it. As for "shock rock", I don't find it that shocking, and I don't find it that rocking. I've listened to vast amounts of music, and all sorts of true artists. Marylin Manson is no less an artist than any of them. There are a lot of people who "jumped on the bandwagon". Now they're all jumping off, which is fine by me. I've got no use for people who use music for their own status. I've used a lot of quotation marks in this post.

still like the band..... anti christ superstar and mechanical animals were in my opinion his best albums.... i dont like hollywood i think he just needed to throw out a album to keep with the contract so he tossed his notes together and released without really liking it...... I dont really follow him, i think he does his job really well but because of it you really cant delve too deep into what he says.... pity.

I like Manson, I think he's an incredible artist with a unique style. I started to like him when I was little, because he was cool, though. heh.
