Spawnbag colonization

So i made some spawn bags using blue helix's write up.
I been having problems with them colonizing the core and the bottom.
Any Suggestions? I been incubating them at 74-76F
I have broken and mixed up the bags once or twice.

I agree. How long has it been since you first inoculated? Since the first time you broke them up? The second?

You should only need to break them up once around the 4-5 day mark (ala Blue Helix's recommendations). If you find that they are not fully colonized but are at least 95%, move forward and case. I routinely have about 1-2% of the bag that just doesn't seem to want to cooperate. Mix the uncolonized portion deep into the colonized areas and wait 2-3 days. From there you should be golden.
Cokaznrebel, he is incubating a bulk substrate comprised of horse manure, so the temps he has are optimal.

Wow, 3 weeks is definitely too long. I'll bet moisture is your problem. When you mixed up the substrate do you do the squeeze test? Even though I gave you a recipe, I think I did anyway, you still need to do a squeeze test to balance out the human error on measuring. You should be able to just get some dripping when you squeeze a handful. I mean really squeeze.
Does the substrate look excessively dry? The other factor in your long colonization times could be the amount of viable mycelium in your liquid culture. If your LC was not thick with mycelium, colonization times can be extended. The longest time I've had to wait so far is 10 days.

this is day 7 for me,and i used the full 140 ml of thick LC to knock up..though my temps are right around 71-72(slowed it a bit i would think)

Yeah i did the squeeze test... and it came out perfect. Just a few drops.
I used a really really thick LC too....
The only thing i can guess is that, these LCs kinda got to the point of sludge/frozen awhile back, and i rethawewd them and incubated them... and i shot the bags up with them, so i might of had some weak Myc.
The substrate to me just looks "moist" If they don't turn out well, i'll just mix some more up and try with a different LC that wasn't frozen ever, but just chilled in the fridge.
