Hey Cap'n, haven't seen you posting much lately. Good to see you.

I moved out when I was 17 (well, I got kicked out). Slept in my car and at my friends until I was 18, and then got a studio for $340 a month.
Let me tell you, getting a very small studio is like being a millionaire when you are used to no where to stay. Every time I move up to a bigger apt., it is less thrilling then that first one.

I own (still paying it off) an old drafty farm house with forty acres and have big plans to turn the place into a rural cult compound... shrouded in secrecy of course. We are still brainstorming ideas from which to build our philosophy. Seriously considering clandestine coffee worship grounded in psychedelic wing-nuttiness minus all the cheesy hippie stuff like sandals and tie dye. Other ideas which remain on the conceptual back burner are forms of mysticism based on cigarette induced lethargic trance states... or an enclave of bicycle pirates riding old schwinns and western flyers converted into bad ass choppers

cool. in the farm house you should make a large bunker type thing. it could be a chill place that no one knows is there. have a board with straw or something on it that you pull up and its like a parking garage unerneeth... thatd be cool.

good idea. I am also thinking about the traditional rotating bookcase leading to a laboratory with all the grow supplies... and maybe a theremin for effect. georgem

But by Manhattan standards it's on the low side...so...yeah, it's 'spensive.
